Uptown Bar and Grill

Right in the heart of old Uptown (yes, anything developed before January, 1 2000, I consider “Old Uptown”) you will find a Dallas classic. Uptown Bar and Grill has that openly warm atmosphere where one might have found Norm 20 years before he became a regular at Cheers.
Open since 1995, Uptown B&G has that kind of friendly staff who is laid back, but always on top of your order. They offer $3 Daily drink specials ranging from Margarita Mondays and Draft Tuesdays to Woo Woo Shot Saturdays and SoCo with lime Sundays. They offer brunch daily, which is awesome. The “build your own” Bloody Mary bar truly rocks, but only rolls on Saturdays and Sundays, so if you’re looking to get bombed before work, you will have to let the bartenders make you one special.
Speaking of rocking, plan to hear a mix of bands like White Zombie, Pink Floyd, Seal, Lit, Live and REM in the background. It’s open from 11am to 2am daily, and so is their kitchen, which makes Uptown Bar and Grill a great place to start, end (no more late nights at iHop) or hang out all day. They also feature All Star Karaoke on Wednesdays through Saturdays. And with the weather being friendlier, you may just want to relax on the patio. They even have an ATM, in case you need a cab, lose a bet, or are the chosen one at credit card roulette.
Located in the Courtyard on McKinney, and not going anywhere, Uptown Bar and Grill truly is one of Uptown’s best bars….oh and they also have the BEST burgers! Have fun!
